A multimedia installation

We Are Forest opened yesterday at Sticks Contemporary in Gosport, and can now be seen in its full multimedia glory.

It consists of our collaborative representation of a forest, painted in black and white directly onto the gallery walls, an atmospheric soundtrack composed for the show by the very talented Tanith Lawrey, and a video featuring drawings and colour effects that is projected onto the wall and ceiling. Our sketchbooks and other preparatory material are available to view and there is a selection of related work that can be purchased.

The exhibition is free to view.

Sticks Contemporary is located in Gosport Shopping Precinct, just off the High Street.

A number of events will be held at the gallery during the Artikinesis exhibition:

  • Sticks Art Café, 1-3pm every Friday
  • “Draw a Forest” drop-in workshop, 11am-4pm, Saturday 17 March – part of Get Creative 2018
  • Sticks Café Conversation (subject: “Nature as art”) 1-3pm, Saturday 14 April
